Career Path: Help cook at home > Founder
“Loosing my right arm made me more focused and determined than ever to pursue my dream of reaching the top of my profession"
My Story: I grew up in a large family, and my love of food and cooking came from the big family meals we always shared together, prepared by my mother, who was a wonderful cook. My father loved to grow vegetables and fruit in our garden, and so I grew up appreciating the flavours of the freshest foods, picked that day and simply prepared. I attended Catering College and earned ‘Student of the Year'. I then spent a year and a half at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane in London, before embarking on three influential years under my mentor Raymond Blanc. I then moved to France for further training. I returned to Britain to take up a Head Chef position. Only two months into the job, I suffered a terrible car accident in which I lost my right arm. I managed to get back in the kitchen part time within two weeks, and full-time after just four.
