My Story: Imagine choosing a career that you are still as passionate about more than 50 years from the date you started. A career that would give you the opportunity to work in other countries meet interesting people including Her Majesty the Queen, President Mandela, Elizabeth Taylor & Richard Burton and to kick a ball around with George Best & Bobby Moore to name but a few. I started my career as an Apprentice chef in the kitchens of the Midland Hotel in Manchester; worked in all departments of an hotel. I managed 5 Star Hotels for over 35 years including opening a 5 star hotel in South Africa and have been Managing Director of Lucknam Park Hotel Spa past 12 Years.
Funny Story: Forcing Stephan Grappelli (against his better judgment) onto the roof for publicity shots – resulting in a “Fiddler on the Roof” front page picture!
