“When I arrived in London I couldn’t speak English"
My Story: When I arrived in the UK from India at the age of 13 I was unable to speak English. I thought I was coming to live with my aunt and uncle however quickly found out that they were indeed my real parents. After leaving school I joined British Airways as a Customer Services Officer for 11 years, during which time I also had a Sales Associate position in addition to holding down various other part time jobs that allowed me to pay for the training necessary to hold a pilots license. I left BA to concentrate on becoming a Sales Manager. During this time I became interested in property acquisition and development. I eventually left to concentrate on this which included my first steps into the hospitality world. Since then I have worked tirelessly to create one of the fastest growing independent hotel companies in the UK and the leading hotelier to the aviation Industry. The opening of the flagship Sofitel London Heathrow at Terminal 5 is the latest stage in my career.
