Career Path: Insurance Broker > Army Catering > Degree in Hotel and Catering > Management MBA > CEO
“I like all food - a real omnivore, I suppose I inherited this from my French mother"
My Story: I was educated in London. On leaving school I worked as an insurance broker in the City before spending two years working in a gentlemen’s outfitters. I went to an Officer Cadet School and was commissioned into the Royal Signals. I later transferred to the Army Catering Corps, and held a variety of posts in Great Britain, Northern Ireland and Germany. The Army then sponsored me to attend University to do a degree in Hotel and Catering Management. I followed this with an MBA in Catering Management. After various other roles in the Army I started my current role of Chief Executive of the Institute of Hospitality.
Funny Story: Having to create a 'meals on wheels' service to feed over 5,000 troops, with only 4 hours notice.
